Martinez, age 64 of Pleasanton, passed away Friday, July 27, 2018 in Jourdanton.Johnny is preceded in death by his parents, Charlie and Josephine (Rosales) Martinez and his brother, Robert Martinez.Johnny is survived by his wife of 45 years, Maryann Martinez; sons, Charles Anthony Martinez and Mark Steven Martinez and wife Jessica; brothers, Roger Martinez and wife Rosie, Freddie Martinez and wife Dolores and Armando Martinez and wife Diane and sister Christina Lopez and husband John. He is also survived by his beloved grandchildren, Courtney Andrea Martinez, Johnathan Steven Martinez and Mireya Rey Martinez as well as numerous nieces and nephews.Johnny was a wonderful man, husband, father, grandfather and friend. He was always there for his family and friends. Johnny loved spending time with his family and admiring his grandchildren, as he was always there for every activity they were involved in. Johnny also left his mark on the city of Pleasanton as he dedicated 42 years of his life maintaining the needs of the city. He began working for the city April 10, 1971. He maintained many positions in the public works department in which he also gained much knowledge. In 2013 Johnny was honored at the state capital by State Representative Ryan Guillen for his 42 years of service upon his retirement as Public Works Director. Johnny was also a great baseball player who loved coaching young and upcoming baseball players whom shared the same passion for baseball as he did.Visitation will be conducted at Hurley Funeral Home in Pleasanton on Wednesday, August 1, 2018 from 2:00 pm to 9:00 pm with a rosary recited at 7:00 pm. A funeral mass will be celebrated on Thursday, August 2, 2018 at 10:00 am at the St Andrew Catholic Church in Pleasanton, followed by interment at San Jose Cemetery in Jourdanton.Pallbearers for Johnny’s service will be Roger Martinez, Freddie Martinez, Armando Martinez, Frankie Montemayor, Joe Guzman and John Lopez.For anyone wishing to leave condolences for the family, share memories or sign th...

Poteet, passed away Monday, July 30, 2018 in San Antonio.He enjoyed selling strawberries, dancing, farming, making tamales, gardening, playing cards and dominos, and listening to music. Leonardo was always ready to lend a helping hand. He enjoyed being with his family and especially playing with his grandchildren. Leonardo will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved him.He is survived by his children, Elvia Mendez and husband Ismael, Leonard Casias Jr., Yolanda Hernandez and husband Jesus, Arturo Casias and wife Gloria, Gracie Guerra and husband Ruben, and Harvey Casias and wife Melissa; daughter-in-law, Mary Jean Casias, and sisters, Louisa Alvarado, Emma Cruz, and Margarita Lopez. Leonardo is also survived by his 15 grandchildren; 28 great grandchildren, and 8 great-great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his wife, Guadalupe (Cardenas) Casias; parents, Valentine and Soledad (Mancha) Casias; sons, Domingo and Jesus Casias, and siblings, Maria Cruz, Cruz Casias, Eloy Casias, Celia Alvarado, and Julia Garza.Visitation will be held at Hurley Funeral Home, 118 W.
